Preparation for Marriage or Remarriage
There are many things that a bride and groom need to think about before their wedding day—the dress, the rings, the reception, the honeymoon. All these things are important, but remember . . . “A wedding lasts only a day, but a marriage should last a lifetime.”
Lighthouse World Outreach Center offers a variety of options to help you prepare for marriage or remarriage. Pre-marriage counseling has been proven to prepare couples to deal with the changes and challenges they will experience as they begin their new life together. Our state has recognized its value by offering reduced fees for marriage licenses to those couples who complete pre-marriage counseling.

Resources for your Marriage & Family
Good marriages can be GREAT marriages! But not without work and commitment. God wants you to have a GREAT marriage and we want to help you get there. Here are some of the ways we can partner with you.
Attend our LifeLight small group class "A Marriage Without Regrets". This 12 week class uncovers life-changing biblical teachings about resolving conflict, marital roles, improving the sexual relationship, communication, parenting, finances, divorce and remarriage, and more.
We've put two of the best video based curriculums for parents together in our LifeLight small group ministry. "Visionary Parenting" helps parents understand their vital role and the importance God places on parents passing their faith to their children while "Parenting on Purpose - The Balance of Love and Discipline" will help parents think through and implement a parenting approach that will prepare their children for adulthood.
Marriage Mentoring - If you are young in your marriage we can pair you up with an older, more experienced couple to provide you with wisdom and support.
What about Stepfamilies? Is your family one of the ever increasing yours, mine & ours families? If so, you’ve probably already realized it’s not any easier the second time around. In fact it’s actually harder! We have the resources to guide you through the murky and often troubled waters.

Help for your Marriage & Family
Is your marriage or famlily not all it should be — but you know it can be?The Lighthouse Marriage & Family Ministry offers couple to couple counseling. Couples sit down with a trained couple (certified by the National Association of Marriage Enhancement) to discuss specific areas of conflict or desired growth within the marriage.
Or complete a couple assesment inventory through the PREPARE-ENRICH program which will identify your strengths and growth areas, then meet for 3-6 sessions with a trained counselor.
Areas of help include improving your communication, making time for each other, spirituality and faith, depression, grief, anxiety, anger, unfulfilled expectations, and more.
